The Mid-Shore is

GOING PURPLE TOGETHER

Since 2000 MSBH has coordinated a September recovery month collaborative Go Purple event we call The Mid-Shore is Going Purple Together! Planned with leadership from each of the five county health departments (the Mid Shore Planning Collaborative, or MSPC), we had a blast promoting recovery with the 2023 Fourth Annual Mid-Shore is Going Purple Together event last September in Kent County.  To be notified early of our 2024 event, be sure to sign up for our bi-weekly newsletter, the Steering Wheel, by contacting us at info@midshorebehavioralhealth.org.

The purpose of The Mid-Shore is Going Purple Together is to demonstrate that the mid-shore stands united against substance misuse, abuse, and overdose. Together, we can educate our community about substance use prevention and available resources. Together, we will save lives, because we know that help is available and recovery is possible.

EVENTS & TRAININGS

SIM Conference

The Sequential Intercept Mapping Model (SIM) details how individuals with mental and substance use disorders come into contact with and move through the criminal justice system. The SIM helps communities identify resources and gaps in services at each intercept and develop local strategic action plans. The SIM mapping process brings together leaders and different agencies and systems to work together to identify strategies to divert people with mental and substance use disorders away from the justice system into treatment. Learn about the SIM Intercepts.
