The 11th Annual Across the Lifespan Conference will be held at the Building African American Minds (BAAM) Athletic Center in Easton on May 13, 2022. The topic of the conference this year is “Dismantling Stigma: Finding Hope and Healing in Recovery", and will offer four social work continuing education credits, continental breakfast, and a box lunch. Conference Parking Information
TIME: Conference doors will open at 8:15 a.m. for registration and continental breakfast. The conference will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. and our planned end time is 3:00 p.m.
PARKING: The conference location is BAAM Athletic Center in Easton at 31 Jowite Street. There is an elementary school on Glenwood Avenue in close proximity to the BAAM Athletic Center. Bear in mind that children are dropped off between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m., and are picked up between 3:00 and 3:15 p.m. To avoid school traffic and to promote safety, please do not use Glenwood Avenue - reference this map for the recommended route. If arriving via the Easton Parkway (Rt. 322), turn down Port Street. If coming through the Town of Easton, please connect to Port Street, not Glenwood Avenue. We have been asked to avoid parking on Jowite Street as parents line up here at the end of the day.
WE RECOMMEND: planning enough time for your commute to walk 5-15 minutes from your parking space to 31 Jowite Street and arrive between 8:15 and 8:45. 31 Jowite Street – there are spaces in back of the BAAM Athletic Center (conference location) that were used for an apartment complex that is now condemned. We are holding six spaces for our six speakers. There are fifteen additional spaces available. The speaker spaces will be marked – please to not park in a space with a reserved speaker sign.

The 10th Annual Across the Lifespan Conference was held on Friday, June 18th, 2021. all about Hope Rising: Mindfulness in a Changing World. Engaging workshops and presentations were led by seven distinguished speakers, sharing expertise and passion on the theme of maintaining mindfulness through all phases of life.
